The purest, wildest, most extreme sports car has always been a speedster. Stripped-down to maximally reduce performance degrading weight – with little or no windshield and no weather protection – speedsters were dedicated solely to the sheer pleasure of high-performance driving. Xenex transforms popular sports car chassis into modern-day, high-performance speedsters.

True Speedsters have been scarce in the past few decades, so in 2021 XENEX Motorsports commissioned acclaimed car designer Kasim Tlibekov and the design studio Tlibekua to develop a speedster re-body-kit for Mazda’s Miata MX-5 NA – the best-selling sports car of all time. The result is the XENEX MX-Speedster.

The MX Speedster is the first of three planned models we intend to build. The second will be the Tribute MX250, followed by the Tipo 184. Currently, we have completed the interior and added features such as a push starter, wireless charging, and a new cooling system, among other significant enhancements. We've already reduced the car's weight by over 200 pounds by removing the glass, hardtop, and other elements. The next phase involves installing the kit, followed by operational upgrades like turbo performance, an enhanced braking system, differential, and pumps. The final step will be painting.

As we complete our second model, we're excited about the prospect of opening a Roadster/Speedster shop on the East Coast, complete with a full coffee bar, lounge area, and other amenities. Our goal is to create a central hub for Roadster and Speedster enthusiasts to gather and forge great relationships. This is the dream we are working towards.
